Tell us your course, exam, score, category, location and scholarship preference — we'll match you against real published cutoffs to find the best colleges in Pune, including colleges recommended by CollegePune.
Select an exam to match against real cutoffs.
The College Finder works backwards from the seat you could actually get. Instead of showing a popularity list, it takes your exam, score and category and matches them against the cutoffs colleges have actually published.
Pick your course and entrance exam
The course narrows the colleges to those that genuinely run it; the exam decides which cutoff table your score is read against.
Enter your score or percentile
Enter it in the same unit the exam reports — MHT-CET and JEE Main are percentile, NEET is a raw score out of 720. Mixing the two is the most common reason results look wrong.
Set category and location
Category matters because reserved-category cutoffs sit below the open-category line for the same seat. Location trims the list to the parts of Pune you would actually travel to.
Read the matched list
Colleges whose published cutoff is at or below your score appear first. Colleges recommended by the CollegePune counselling team are marked so you can tell an editorial pick from a pure cutoff match.
Choosing the wrong exam is the single biggest source of confusing results. This is the mapping the finder uses.
| Stream | Exams that matter | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Engineering | MHT-CET, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, BITSAT | MHT-CET drives most Maharashtra state quota seats; JEE Main matters for CSAB/JoSAA and several private institutes. |
| MBA / Management | MAH MBA CET, CAT, SNAP, CMAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA | MAH MBA CET covers state quota. SNAP is Symbiosis-only. CAT is accepted by the widest set of top institutes. |
| Medical | NEET UG | NEET is the single route to MBBS, BDS and AYUSH seats. There is no private-college alternative exam. |
| Law | MH CET Law, CLAT | MH CET Law covers Maharashtra 3-year and 5-year LLB. CLAT is for the National Law Universities. |
| Design / Architecture | NATA, NID DAT, UCEED, NIFT | B.Arch requires NATA plus a valid Class 12 with Maths. Design entrances are portfolio- and aptitude-led. |
| Arts / Science / Commerce | CUET UG, Class 12 merit, NPAT | Many Pune degree colleges still admit on Class 12 percentage; CUET matters for central universities. |
Exam availability varies by course and by year. Confirm against the current official notification before relying on any one route.
No. It means your score clears the cutoff that college published previously, which makes it a realistic target. Cutoffs shift each year with applicant numbers and the seat matrix, and the final call rests with the admitting authority and the CAP counselling rounds.
Usually one filter is doing more work than intended — a narrow location, a tight fee ceiling, or a course only a few Pune colleges run. Widen the filters one at a time to see which is responsible.
Whatever your exam actually reports. MHT-CET and JEE Main publish percentile; NEET publishes a raw score out of 720. Entering marks where a percentile is expected will badly distort the match.
College records — fees, courses, accreditation, placement and cutoff figures — come from CollegePune's own published database and are revised as institutes release new information. Always confirm the final figure against the college's official admission notice before you pay anything, because institutes can revise fees mid-cycle.
The tool is free and runs without an account. You only share contact details if you choose to request counselling, and nothing is required to see your results.
