Engineering admission in Pune for 2026 follows DTE Maharashtra CAP rounds. CAP Round 1 allotment: July 2026. CAP Round 2: August 2026. Direct/Management quota admission: August–September 2026. When does SNAP 2026 registration open?

SNAP 2026 registration typically opens in August 2026 at snaptest.org. The exam is conducted 3 times in December (Dec 6, 13, and 20, 2026). SNAP registration closes by November 2026. Fee: ₹1,750 per attempt. Register early — SIBM Pune, SCMHRD Pune, and SCIT Pune all require SNAP score for admission.

What is the CAT 2026 exam date?

CAT 2026 is scheduled for November 23, 2026. Registration opens in August 2026 at iimcat.ac.in. CAT is a 2-hour computer-based test with 3 sections: VARC, DILR, and Quantitative Aptitude. While most Pune MBA colleges accept CAT, it is NOT mandatory — MAT, CMAT, and SNAP are also widely accepted.

Can I get MBA admission in Pune after January 2027?

Yes, to some extent. Some Pune MBA colleges with unfilled seats offer spot admissions or management quota after January 2027. BIMM Pune, Indira Institute, Suryadatta Institute, and IIMM Pune often have seats available through February–March. However, popular programs at SIBM, SCMHRD, and MIT-SOM fill up by January. Don't delay if you have a SNAP/CMAT score.

How people actually miss admission deadlines

→Certificates, not forms. Domicile, caste, caste-validity, non-creamy-layer and income certificates take weeks to issue and are the most common reason a claim is rejected at verification. Start them before the application window opens.
→Assuming the registration deadline is the only one. Application, document verification, preference filling, seat acceptance and fee payment each close separately — missing the seat-acceptance window forfeits an allotted seat.
→Leaving it to the last day. Official portals slow down or fall over under deadline load, and there is no appeal for a submission that did not go through.
→Filling a short preference list. Listing only a few colleges is the most common reason a candidate with a usable score ends up unallotted.
→Trusting a screenshot. Dates get extended and occasionally pulled forward — confirm against the official CET Cell or university notification before relying on any date.
