Adjusting the Table for Your Situation

• •Reserved-category cutoffs run materially lower and have separate seat matrices — never compare your reserved-category percentile against a general-category figure.
• •Other Than Home University seats close at different percentiles from Home University seats at the same college.
• •These are Round I indicative figures; later rounds close lower.
• •TFWS seats have their own cutoff and must be opted for at option filling, not claimed afterwards.
• •Institutional and management quota sit outside CAP and do not follow these numbers at all.

Building the Option Form

1. 1.Write down your percentile, category and Home University status at the top of a sheet.
2. 2.For each branch you would accept, mark every college in the table as reach, realistic or safe relative to you.
3. 3.Order the form by genuine preference — branch first, college second — not by expected cutoff.
4. 4.Add every realistic and safe option; there is no penalty for listing more.
5. 5.Plan your freeze, float and confirm response before Round I allotment is published.
6. 6.If Round I disappoints, float rather than freeze, since later-round cutoffs generally fall.
