Which Symbiosis Test Do You Actually Need?

Identify your programme first, then work backwards to the test. Applicants who do it the other way round regularly register for SNAP when they wanted an undergraduate seat, and there is no mechanism to transfer a registration between tests.

What SET Tests

How the Cycle Runs

Preparing for an Aptitude Test

• •Work under time pressure from the start — the constraint in an aptitude test is the clock, not the difficulty of any single question.
• •Sit full-length mock papers rather than practising sections in isolation, because pacing across sections is what most candidates get wrong.
• •Read a daily newspaper for the general awareness component; it cannot be crammed in the final week.
• •Review every mock in detail. The value is in understanding why you got a question wrong, not in the score.
• •Confirm the current pattern and marking scheme on the official portal before building a strategy — pattern details are revised from time to time.

After the Result

A SET score does not admit you on its own. Each Symbiosis institute publishes its own shortlist and runs its own selection round, and the final merit combines the SET score with that round. Two candidates with the same SET score can end up at different institutes depending entirely on how the campus round goes, so treat the result as the halfway point rather than the finish.
