JEE Main 2026

JEE Main is one of the most prestigious engineering entrance exams in India, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It serves as the primary gateway for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and numerous state and private engineering colleges across the country. The exam is also the first stage for students aspiring to appear for JEE Advanced, which is required for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The exam is conducted twice a year in a computer-based test format. JEE Main evaluates candidates on their knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with a focus on conceptual understanding and analytical reasoning. Over 12 lakh candidates appear for the exam annually, making it one of the largest competitive exams in the country. The exam pattern includes multiple-choice and numerical questions, with a total of 75 questions for B.E./B.Tech and 82 questions for B.Arch/B.Planning.
